Theory: How they found out about The Factory

I know the prequel movie will explain a lot, but I thought I would post my theories and we'll find out how right they are.

I think Aelita sent a message over the school's network and Jeremie got or figured out the message.

Or maybe Jeremie noticed a bunch of weird things happening at school and tried to figure out what was causing them. Then discovered the Factory and Aelita while trying to figure things out.

How about: the usine was a make-out spot for the Kadic students, and Odd discovered the supercomp while chasing fleeing girls, and told Jer about it.... Image

I'll wager that it's something along the lines of the "Garage Kids" pilot, but more refined.

My theory is that the gang is messing around in the park or in the basement, when they uncover the secret passageways. Being naturally curious, they investigate, and find the factory. Certainly Odd and Ulrich would mess around in there, while Jeremie would find the elevator and wonder why something that high-tech is doing in a run-down dump of a factory. He eventually cracks the code on the pad, and discovers the lab. (Solo)

After making the inital discovery of the lab and the supercomputer, he and the others use Lyoko as a virtual game area, messing around and dueling each-other, until Aelita is discovered watching them. They follow her into a tower, where the kids gain her trust and coax her out.

Finally able to see her, Jeremie is smitten and immeadiately tries to help Aelita. He hooks up his system at Kadic to the Lab's network, unaware that he is allowing X.A.N.A. access to the outside world for the first time in years. Stretching his abilities, X.A.N.A. launches an attack on Earth, and sends out the first group of monsters to destroy the meddling brats.

Aelita, realizing the threat, persuades Jeremie that the misfortune happening on Earth is X.A.N.A.'s doing, and convinces the rest of the gang to rid Lyoko of the monsters. After a rather clumsy initital assault, Jeremie rallys the gang and gets them to work together, allowing Aelita to reach the activated tower and foil X.A.N.A's world domination bid. (Whatever it may be.)

And the rest is history, as the saying goes! :)

this would explain why xana didn't attack before the discovery of Lyoko by the band .
I like your theory ;) you should write fics !

nevertheless something bothers me : to your mind , the kids discover Aelita without her help . It looks strange . aelita can't have waited in Lyoko all this time without doing anything , for instance ,without sending a message to .... Jeremy :D

Ahh, but remember that Aelita had been robbed of her memory by X.A.N.A. soon after entering Lyoko. She didn't even recall anything about the outside world! To her, Lyoko was the only world, until the gang virtualized themselves.

Did you noticed that in Garage Kids, Yumi uses her telekinetics on Earth!

Indeed I did notice. The pilot was just a concept though, that's why I stipulated that it would be a more refined version of that plot. ;)

let me dust off my attempt at Fanfiction.

In the beginning, XANA is just discovering the real world and is slowly learning how to reach out to it, making small mischief at first. Somehow it discovers Yumi. (XANA has always shown a dislike for Yumi beyond that of the others.) Causing her ever greater problems. One day causing a problem bad enough to put her in real danger. Ulrich is on hand to reach her and pull her from this danger. (their first meeting) Together they convince Jeremie, Yumi's friend and Ulrich's classmate, that all is not coincidence and he begins tracing the cause to a central location. Odd, Ulrichs friend and roommate, ever the adventurous type, convinces the others to go at investigate. Discovering the factory and XANA computer, Jeremie manages to gain access to the pimary Lyoko system and finds Aelita. With her help they learn to enter Lyoko and the fight against XANA begins.

I like Shadowbots ideas as well :D

What I find rather interesting is that most Lyoko fans think that either XANA or Aelita initiated contact with the outside world, instead of the kids finding the factory and the supercomputer, then discovering Aelita and XANA later on.

Image In the manner of all great intellectuals (yuk?), manson and I both were impressed by the same phrase. Interesting angle, indeed, Señor Shadowbot.

They are probably influenced by Garage Kids, where the "black virus" first oozes from the computer. Or more likely they just like the idea of Aelita calling for help and Jeremie and the others running to the rescue.

I follow the idea in the show that the XANA attacks seemed to grow alittle at a time as, like Aelita, it was learning more about the Real world and just what could be done. I also like the idea that they really weren't a group before XANA. Yumi with her closed loner attitude and Jeremie not having other contacts beyond his computer just don't seem the type to simply be friends with Odd and Ulrich

Yes ! This is what catched my attention the firts time i saw code lyoko . Characters are differents and ... such realistics ! But i should get back to the topic ^^” . however , you’re right when you say something must have induced their meeting and later their attachment , something like a Xana's attack :D

Oops i forgot it ^^
So we've got two possibilities : on the one hand the kids discovered Lyoko then Aelita and Xana by chance, on the other hand , Xana or Aelita made them meet and realise that something like Lyoko could exist . These are two perfect scenario for fics ! ^^
... Nowadays , english fics are more and more uncommon :(

I think that's a great fanfic and is interestering. But you must take into concideration that Odd came to Kadic after the factory was discovered in Garage Kids and joined the group after seeing Yumi save Jeremie from falling off a building.

many theories

The prequel says that Jeremie found the supercomputer alone while searcing for parts to his robots. In the episode "Franz Hopper" Jeremie say that they all turned on the supercomputer together. Pretty confusing huh?

I have also heard that Jeremie, Odd, Ulrich and Yumi was looking for a place to hang out and then went to the factory. They found the elevator and the supercomputer. When they turn it on, they go to the "screenroom" (my name for the room with all the screens) and they find Aelita. She tells them about X.A.N.A and how to get to Lyoko.

Not my idea, i just heard about it. Which one of these 3 theories are the most likely?

The prequel was pretty good, so I think it's more likely.

But the inconsistency with the episode "Franz Hopper" is interesting.

Like others in the thread have said it seems unlikely that everyone was friends before the factory was found, so I think the "Franz Hopper" episode might have to be partly ignored for it's as a mistake in the cannon.
