It's all sort of confused, McT. I think that if someone is being precise, "bull terrier" only refers to the strange, curved-nosed dog like Kiwi. Also a famous Canadian named Cherry has one named "Blue", and I think Spuds McKensie is one too.

But the unfortunate inclusion of the word "bull" gets less-precise people to include bulldogs and even the sinister "pit bulls", which I believe technically are terriers, but not "bull" terriers (but they have that bulldog-like ferocity, so the mistake is made).

I think if you stick to serious breeders' netsites, what they call bull terriers will always be Kiwi-dogs....
