Note: The French book shows one of those instances of Odd having his Image tail around Aelita's ankle. Hmmmmm.

Chauve-Souris a écrit:So, tell me already, does yours contain TWO episodes, "Teddygodzilla" and the one about the rats' swarms?

Plagued is the other. Where Jérémie has to take the genius test. As miaame pointed out to me, it's kind of difficult to follow if you've never seen the episodes.

Yeah, they never had "Girl of the Dreams" or the one where X.A.N.A. made a seperate virtual world on 'em. Demon-Jeremie made that the best episode in the season for me. We don't know if the third DVD is season one or two, do we?

That's a good question. I've always assumed it's season 1. I reeeealy hope that every episode makes it to DVD.

Moi also! It really urinates me off that they aren't going through them in order. (But then, les français aren't going through theirs in order either, are they? But I still prefer the French ones, even though I haven't a clue with the dialog.)

Anyway, I hate to say it, but this random(?) selection of DVD episodes strongly suggests that they have no intention of doing all of them. I feel like they are just casually throwing us a bone or two. Image

The third one's cover is out on Amazon and the title suggests it is from season two.

I've posted that same question at TZ in the Ask Funi thread. But I'm still unsure if I'll get a response. I'm hoping it means they intend to release Seasons 1&2 at the same time, now that Season 2 has run completely on CN.

A reconfiguration of the definition of awesome

Action figures. Heck yes. From Toyfare:

"A part of Cartoon Network's hit Miguzi block for kids getting home from school (it also includes Teen Titans and One Piece!), Code Lyoko is the story of 2D-animated kids who can travel to the parallel world of Lyoko and become 3D-animated superheroes! August sees the release of "Code Lyoko" action figures from Toy Biz: Odd gleaming the cube on a wicked board, Ulrich with a transforming chamber accessory, and Yumi on a personal transport, all of whom should interact swimmingly with your ubiquitous (and oddly endearing) Projectile-Launching Block. PVC figures and playsets come out the same month, featuring
Teddy Go(d)zilla, the Factory, Virtual Desert Battle and Virtual Ice Battle."

The article includes pictures of Ulrich's transforming chamber, Yumi on the Overwing, and a Block. I also found a link.

http://www.toywiz.com/codelyoko.html

The prices there are usually higher than normal, so don't fret or preorder them. They better have Jeremie in that factory though, and only one Aelita.

Not with this product line I can assume, I also found this:

Say, thanks ever so for the info, exo! From your enthusiasm, we must conclude that the pictures in the article were highly encouraging.
-
I checked out your link, but was unable to coax any pictures out of those guys. Did you get any impression of how big (tall) the figures are?
-
They do NOT mention anything about Jer, nor Kiwi! Rats! They DO mention a figure of the Image Medusa -- how the heck could they model all those slender tentacles?

That's awesome! So we're actually going to get merchandise! I wonder what else is in the works...
It sounds like these action figures might be more like action scenes. Do you have a link for that article and pictures?

I'm having surprisingly little success finding it with Google, even when I search for chunks of text from exo's quote of the article. Image

Edit: Nope -- I can't find it. exo must be a major shareholder at Toyfare and is quoting insider information. arf?

If I told you how tall they were then I'd be terribly off because I have no sense of estimation. Toyfare is a magazine I got yesterday, issue #104 if you want to check it out. I can't find pictures online either, but I'll tell you about them. Hoefully it's just a prototype, because the Overwing looks too white and has a circular platform. Out from under it there's a oddly shaped flat projectile. The Block's a Block, it's done very well. Ulrich's "Transforming chamber" is really the scanner, it has a figure of him on Earth and on Lyoko. Lyoko Ulrich is sadly weaponless, and sadder still is that Earth Ulrich has 0% poseability. Little blue nob on top of the scanner to transform.

Oh, well that would explain why we can't find it! Such a simple, non-technological answer! I guess you don't have a scanner, exo.
From the looks of things, they're going to be more like pre-set scenes...

Well, hey, everything that's published eventually gets onto the net, doesn't it? Seems like we might be able to Google-up the article in a week or two or three.
In the meantime, what's chances of finding good ol "Toyfare" #104 on a newsstand? Image Nil, I presume.... Sounds sort of esoteric.

This sounds like one of those Swiss(?) barometers, where you have a little chateau and a sweet girl or an evil man comes out of their doors depending on the atmospherics. So now we have a blue knob for bringing out virtual or real Ulr, but not both? Image

-
I'm feeling pessimistic -- I'm sure I would prefer a simple, well-detailed, not-neccessarily-poseable, AUTHENTIC "statuette" that would just stand there and look cool.
-
But, as the man said while waiting for the Image striptease show to start, "We shall see -- we shall see...."

YAY! I'd totally buy a little Ulrich, and a Yumi.....Heck, I'd buy them all. :p
I'd even buy a Sissi, just so I could have her harass the other ones!

I had a minor searching breakthrough -- Google led me to Wizard Universe, http://shop.store.yahoo.com/wizarduniverse/index.html, which handles Toyfare's subscriptions, thence to some Toyfare stuff, including a look at "Toyfare #103". So, surely "Toyfare #104" can be expected there in a little while? Image

I tried a block, but the pieces were too hard to get.

I think they'd have to make specialized pieces for the characters and enemies. I tried, but was unable to make any of the Lyoko kids except Yumi (black on black is pretty common...).

I'd buy a CL t-shirt or a poster. I wish Hot Topic sold them. (They seem to get the most anime/game related apparrel around here.) They carry FLCL and Princess Ai, they'd probably be the best bet for Code Lyoko. But I've never seen anything.
