I know that here, there are fans of Sissi
Why? an what do you think about her and her friends?

Sissi is rather attractive and rather repellent at the same time. LeDixieme's avatar shows it -- a good-looking girl, but with a grouchy look on her face.
-
I guess guys find evil girls sort of intriguing.
-
(But ask LeDCM; he is her main slave. nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!)

cheers to the reopening of the forum. vive yumi2004! :)

but anyway,
Chauve is right. :D I guess she manages to be intriguingly attractive despite herself. Unfortunately for her tho, she can't manage to win over the complete and obsessed attention of Ulrich. but on the other hand, he did kiss her in Frontier, but I guess that was out of dire necessity. or was it?

I'm sure you mean she HAS brains, and, yes, she is intelligent and good-looking, but she wastes those assets by not being more agreeable.

I don't know if there is a similar saying in français, but anglophones would say:
"You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar".
[Vous pouvez attraper plus de mouches avec le miel qu'avec le vinaigre.]
Sissi should try that by being more careful how she treats people....

I personally hate this kind of girl which passes more time making up and dressing than being smiling with the others . And sissi is such superficial and self-centered... I can't imagine her friendlier in the next season, but why not .

Sissi really is a very good character. Though she does have a problem dealing with others, she's self centered and vain. That's not her whole character. She can, and does at times, change for the better. I think that sometimes Ulrich, and others. are a little mean to her and this certianly doesn't bring out her better side.

In some ways Sissi is more real than the other characters.

She hides her pain at not having close friends.

She actually cares about what happens to people even though she rarely shows it.
Remember how worried she was when Odd was trapped in the dorms as they were falling apart?

I really enjoy her dialoged too. :)
Sissi has some great lines like . .

Jeremie! That's reassuring. It's nice to know that the closest thing to Bruce Willis is coming to the rescue.

Oh Milly little dipsticks you're age don't have any freedom understand?
- Sissi

Don't think it doesn't suit you.

it's incredible to see how much anglophones ( you ) like sissi ! Really, I can't believe it  !

Perhap's you're right speaking about her concealed personality ... but it isn't obvious to like her, especially when you remember sentences she said concerning Milly, or bad jokes she did to Yumi or Ulrich . I'm aware ( like Van dam  ) that sometimes we can see her kindness, but it is too uncommon, and bad jokes outnumber good points .

I'm waiting for the second season so that I could change my mind about Sissi ... I hope it .

We like her because she represents mischief ... someone to make ripples in the pond ... someone who stands against the world and says, "Pooh to all you guys!" :tongue6:
-
(And she's good-looking too, in a grouchy sort of way!)

lol a bit like marilyn manson

so far, i never thought to this "rebel " behaviour,

but saying " someone to make ripples in the pond " do you mean she doesn't want to be the perfect little child too obedient or do you mean she represents the element in the cartoon which bring trouble ( the bad person of the cartoon )

ohh I see it is a bit difficult to understand with my sentence : to sum up, to your opinion, is she opposed to the world and its laws , or is she just opposed to Ulrich's band ? cause i want to undrstand what elements make you love her .

I hope you understand me :? nothing is less sure .

I think it's more because she's cute. She is bad, but it's fun to watch her try to manipulate people to get her way, which she is clearly used to getting. She also isn't whiney about it and can be nice, sometimes, and when she is frightened when she's in over her head, it's cute the way Ulrich will still comfort her, no matter how mad she makes him at times. And her rivalry with Yumi is fun too. I seem to enjoy a little conflict between the girls. It's what I liked about Talia. The thunderclap that passed between her and Yumi says they will never get along.

No it isn't -- your anglais is perfectly clear and excellent!
As for the "ripples" thing, both of your definitions apply. She sticks up for her needs or viewpoint, even if it means breaking some rules and/or making a fuss.
But, in addition, she does supply the part of the villain in the Lyokids' social problems.
She is just plain abrasive (sorry, that's THE appropriate word) so she supplies laughs and prevents boredom for all involved, including us.

Now get back to those books! Whadaya think this is, a vacation camp? (arf?)

True, Cobra, we pretty much all agree that there is a nice Sissi that comes out through the nasty Sissi occasionally -- but not very often!
