i know that the secound option goes off from what was written, it just makes more sense.

You don't. You can provide a small summary as a 'Translator's Note' (on the top of the screen) or whatever.

I put the link for people reading here. On a video you can't put it, however, in subbed videos, you sometimes find notes at the top of the screen. Such a note could state that Polytechnique is a famous French school.
