Yeah, think of how difficult it is with Yumi off-campus.
What's more common in France - public schools or private schools?

There are more public schools where you can't sleep because the principe in France is free school

Correction, Clem -- I went to all public schools, and there was never one where I couldn't sleep (nyuk, nyuk, nyuk)...
-
Anyhoo, we should apologize to LeDix for the ambiguity, as he comes from an island where "private school" and "public school" mean exactly the opposites of the way we are using them. As a world traveler, he knows that, of course....

The boarding school is not very developed in France. The externat (i don't know how to translate this word) and the school lunching are much more current.
A boarding school can make externat or school lunching, but a traditional establishment don't make boarding school (not for more than 10-20 pupils max.).
In general, independents organizations deal with renting a room to the pupils who need some.
Public school are much more current (except in ingeneers domain).

Oh yes, of course!
The Ricain terminology does actually seem to make more sense, considering where the funding for each comes from.
But from what MacIntoc and Clem said, in France it seems to be just like here, where public school is a lot more common, and the private schools that are around tend to accomodate many less children than the public schools.

So
LeDixieme are you from England?
Or do you know enough English to enjoy a Fan Fic that has a Code Lyoko Iron Chef crossover?
= = =
Thank you
Olivier and
MacIntoc and everyone.
I think I understand about boarding school in France.
I agree that Code Lyoko would be very different if they didn't go to a boarding school.

Hey, I've just gone through the last five pages of the discussion about the big Lyoko reunion, but failed to find out WHEN it is! Could someone please tell us WHEN it is going to happen?
-
Gee, I'd give anything to get there and catch sight of Tchoucky sitting by the fountain with her Lyoko placard and with her shirt-stickers at the ready. I would certainly appreciate it if someone would photograph that moment and post it on yumi2004....

Do you have a parade in France?
What are they like?
Do you have parade floats?
How are they made?
Would school ever be out for part of the day to watch a parade?
I'm thinking about writing another fan fic and these details would be handy to know.

McTrooper I don't know exactly what kind of parade are you speaking about ... A military one ?
If it is a military parade, yes we have one, but not being interesting by this, i don't know exactly the date
( maybe on the 14 of july ) I just know that it happens every year, and lots of militaries parade .
About the school ... I think the parade is on hollidays ... Or it may be during school ( I don't know
) . Nevertheless, my school never closed because of a parade !!
I hope I helped you But i'm not sure

Only military parades? In the US we have parades where people throw candy and turn car into funny looking things called parade floats.
We also have a Thanksgiving day parade with big balloons in the shape of cartoon characters and other things.
Sometimes those parades also have people who march with drums, trumpets, horns, and fake rifles that they use like Sissi's baton in Zero Gravity Zone.

We have few parades indeed. The main one we have in France is the Carnaval de Nice:

We definitely don't have such things here ;-)

"Carnaval de Nice" looks like the kind of parade I was thinking of.
I'll have to research that a bit, maybe I can work it in better.

Say, can someone tell me what's going on in this fanart plagiarism thing? I understand what Tchoucky and Pesme are saying, but I can't get all of what chloé and Black Jack are saying. Chloé did it, or what?

Chloé started the thread at codelyoko.com (kloklo = Chloé). She's of course not the author of the plagiarism (if it was your question).

yes she isn't the author !!
chloé and Black Jack discovered that a person had " stolen " a pesme's fan art and a half's one in order to win the competition .
