It was the first time any of the Tites had met her. She took the big TT-obstacle-course test and got invited to join the T's full-time. I didn't see the scorpion, but I didn't watch the middle of it. I will see it many times when I am trying to decide what graphics to plagiarize (ooops, extract) from it, which I hope to do as soon as I get my stupid income Image tax return out of the way....

ah, ok. This is her return to the Titans after running away. No scorpion. I really liked the music they used during her course run.

Say, this isn't exactly Titan-ic, but since all the Toonami guys hang out on this street corner, here's a question:
-
In Duel Masters there are two females in the hero's retinue (and a little guy who is hilarious) and I am having trouble catching their names. One girl is very attractive, brown hair, red (usually?) dress, and super nice. The other is DEVASTATINGLY attractive, black hair, maroon (always) dress with lots of belts and straps, and also super nice.
-
Names, anyone? Thanks ever so.... Image

Say, I caught the Wulin thingy today. Yick! I don't think I will try that again!
-
When you guys talk about it being "funny", are you saying that it's INTENDED to be funny, or that it's something to laugh AT ? Image

depends on your point of view.

From reading the comments of people who have seen the original Taiwanese show, Scar has a serious look because he is a solumn Buddist, but his English character is a jokester. The interview about it list the attraction of modern special effects. then they add hiphop to make it "edgy" I guess. I groaned more than laughed

Hey, I heard there's a new Justice League episode tonight. Not that I watch it, it was said earlier that it was cancelled.

 I'd heard they stop making them,,, this really came out of the blue.

YaY, I haven't missed it if it was on

my tv guide doesn't have it but I set the vcr for IGPX to catch the reruns. (shhh, I'm supposed to be asleep) Appearently it's in the 10:30 time slot so I should see it tomorrow with the rest of the anime :D

Awwww, c'mon. I can't believe none of you guys knows this! I'll assume the lack of answers is because that post was the last before a new page and no one saw it. I have discovered that the funny kid is named Rekuta, and that there is a Mimi in the cast, but I don't know who is who. Image
-
Also, I'm trying to find the name of the smooth lady dog who seems to be in charge of the Dog Star Patrol in "Krypto...." I have found a group picture in which she is labeled as Paw Pooch, but I think this is an error. I have a hunch her name is Brainy Barker, but I'm not sure. Hellllllp! Why are youse guys destroying your health and your grades by staring at the telly all day and night if you can't answer important questions like these? Image

Sorry, though this is the first I've seen this question, I can't help. I don't watch either of those shows.

I've never watched Krypto, but I have seen Duel Masters a few times. It can be pretty funny! From my research, I've found that Mimi is the maroon-dressed one and I think the other is Saiyuki.

Thanks, Rooobs. Those two girls are a strange arrangement. They're very similar and both rather quiet, and only occasionally figure in the stories significantly. I keep having the feeling that they could be combined into one character, and still accomplish the mission.
-
Anyhoo, I too have decided that the maroon girl is named Mimi -- at least, I am proceeding on that assumption. I found some information that dealt with two female names, but learned that one of them was Shobu(?)'s mother, and that left me back with one name for the two young uns. Now I can't remember if Saiyuki was listed as the mother's name or not. (I ain't very good at names, duhhhh.)
-
I agree that the program can be very funny. I really like it. The latest(?) show where Rekuta was building his deck based on what cards he LIKED, instead of making strategic choices -- a man after my own heart -- was great. The running gag where he zoomed into the firmament every time he lost a duel (a la Team Rocket) was hilarious. I was reading a forum where Dual Masters was being dismissed as a poor ripoff of Yugi-Oh, but I think Y-O is a pain, and much prefer D-M. Image

Say, I had CN on for a scheduled episode of Grim Adventures... and instead I got my first dose of "XIALIN" (or however that is spelled.) It looks promising -- it's well drawn, likeable, and (most important to moi) humorous. The comical dragon (JoJo(???)) looks great! Image
-
Cool line: the Master made some philosophical remark and the dragon asked him how he comes up with that stuff, to which the Master quietly replied, "I have a desk calendar." Love it! Image

I've never watched Shaolin Showdown, but I think it had (or is still having) a long run on another channel like Fox or something.

That Xiaolin Showdown has moved to CN is just great. It's not a priority show for me and gets supercede by other shows on Saturday morning if I'm not here to tape it. The stories got a little dull in the middle but are getting better again that they've brought in more evil villians like Chase Young. I like the show mostly for it's quirky humour and Kimiko's outfits. I she rarely wears the samething twice. My favorite episode should appear early in this season that's showing on CN. If I can find what it's called I'd explain more, but Kimiko has to deal with her firery temper,,,, and wear a kimono to use the "Tangle Web Comb" woo. This episode is a scream.

<edit>
Wow, It's listed as "Tangled Web", the third episode. So it should be tomorrow.

I been using Tv.com more now that it's settled down a bit. So I popped over to http://www.tv.com/xiaolin-showdown/show ... mmary.html
It has a good episode guide and the info seems accurate at a glance. Of course by now you know it will be on weekdays at 6:00pm ( my EST)

If you would happen to get screenshots of Kimiko in her kimono,,, that would be sO cool :D

I DVD'ed most of today's episode, and I think they were fussing about some sort of comb thingy, so it might be your "Tangled Wed" epi, but I was not available to pay full attention to it. I'll check it out later this evening.

Well, I've caught on to the scheduling now. Crikey!
--18:00 ET: It's on, but CN's listing says it's "Codename KND".
--21:30 ET: It's on again, I believe with the same episode as earlier, but this time it's listed as "The Grim Adventures...."
These erroneous listings would not be any problem except for the fact that we don't get any information about what episodes are scheduled for ImageXiaolin. And I haven't caught any episode naming during the opening credits of the program either. Pesky!

I noticed in the commercials of Xiaolin Showdown, the names are all mispronounced.

Egad! I might have acquired another addiction! I have never paid much attention to "Avatar" but today Nick showed six episodes in a row, and I got drawn in -- completely. Garshk, what a QUALITY show! Great characters, witty scripting, coherent stories, and absolutely top-quality artwork! (I could, as usual, do with less of magic beams coming out of people's hands, and lovably(?)-grouchy masters, but I always have those complaints.)
-
Needless to say (but I will anyway) Katara is devastating! And of course I predictably find Momo irresistible. My favorite episode, by far, is the Aunt Wu and the volcano story, which included another great character, Meng, the gap-toothed and unruly-haired cutie. The angle that they explored in this episode about prognostications that are worded so that they can't fail to come true was very commendable, too.
-
Anyhoo, Nick's latest offerings certainly aren't very promising, i.e., X-Family and Kappa Mikey. I don't find Catscratch very entertaining either, despite the presence of another gap-toothed cutie, Kimberly. But Avatar is definitely on my list. Image

I was so surpized the animation brillince of avatar was anywhere near Nick.It is such a wonderful show, with so much depth to the characters. Of course the "beams" from theisr hands(a way for a show to have conflict without actual hitting) is the basis of element bending. The best explaination was the "agnekai" (I forget the episode)that has Zuko feuding with the Admiral (forget his name) Each bending ability has a corisponding martial art style that makes it a dream to watch. The deoth of this show is amazing.

Avatar is a good show. The thing is, it's on Nick and in order to watch it, I'd have to change the channel. Yeah, that's probably the only reason I don't watch it... Sad, huh?

Xiaolin Showdown is actually not too bad. I've been watching it cause it's on after Code Lyoko and I'm usually still eating dinner.
