Which game are you using? In heart gold and soul silver any damage dealt to them is not healed when they flee so the next time you encounter them they will have low HP which helps a lot. a good strategy is to get a fast pokemon with the move endevor. which deals the damage that pokemon has taken to the opposing pokemon. fight lower leveled while pokemon until the pokemon with endevor has critical HP do not let it faint obviously otherwise you have to start that part over. Once you've done this use any type of repel then save your game (just in case something does go wrong and you KO it but the legendary will not be in the same spot so you'll have to move your search) and start looking for Entei/Raikou once you've found them use endevor as soon as the battle begins. If you're pokemon is too slow and Entei/Raikou flees add a quick claw and try again. Once Their HP is 5 or less (1 is optimum but not always possible) allow the legendary to flee. heal your pokemon and search for the legendary again do not bother with using moves like meanlook or abilities like arena trap as Entei/ Raikou will use roar and force you to flee. Instead throw a pokeball at the start of the next encounter. repeat until captured

the endevor trick is the fastest way to reduce their HP but other methods work just as well. You can speed up the endevor trick by having a pokemon that can learn endevor and endure in that case use endure at the start of a wild pokemon encounter in a higher level area use endure then switch before the pokemon faints and either defeat the wild pokemon for EXP or run.... or use endevor then switch then catch the random wild pokemon if it's one you don't have yet and you want it.

For best results. (Simple ways to enhance the above legendary capture strategy)
Use moves that cause paralisis freeze or sleep after the pokemon's HP is at 1
have lots of quick balls/fast balls
have a stockpile of Dark balls and Ultra balls just in case you run out of quick balls (and for other legendary encounters)
Do not use moves that inflict poison, burn, curse or confusion.
(more to come possibly)

If you are speaking of any other game then let me consult my guides and get back to you.

Okay, I'm using SoulSilver.I've gotten him down to about 1-50 HP.The only problem is I don't want to spend like five hours training my rattata to learn endeavor [Rattata is the only pokemon i have that can learn that move] and I don't really feel like breeding my pokemon.

I could help you get a good pokemon with decent speed that can learn endeavor if you'd like. I know where to get a pokemon that's faster than rattata that can learn endeaver at a lower level than rattata.

Back to earlier, How do you know if it's HP is at 1-5?Plus I'll probably just use the second strategy.

When the HP bar is in the red and it's only just barely visible it is somewhere between 1 and 5

Okay so a couple of weeks ago I was on a pokemon website and they announced a generation VI[Six]!This is all I know about it:

The region may be based on France because in the teaser trailer, Pikachu is in front of a building that looks like the Eiffel Tower.

The three Starter Pokemon names are: Chespin[Grass Starter], Fennekin[Fire Starter], and Froakie[Water Starter].(It's weird because the names were released in America before they were released in Japan.)

The games are called Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.(They couldn't possibly think of another name?Man,Nintendo is running out of ideas!)

The legendaries are named: Xerneas and Yveltal.Xerneas is the Legendary for Pokemon X and Yveltal is going to be the legendary for Pokemon Y.

There are Roller skates now, but it is unknown if they replace the running shoes or the bike.

Here is the website that has the information and teaser Trailer: http://www.pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Pokemon_X_and_Y

Actually black and white (and black 2/White 2) were gen V (five) X and Y are gen VI (Six) [nevermind you fixed it]

They aren't running out of Ideas it's more likely to have something to do with the plot in some way. Like black and white did. Or it's just referring to the legendary Pokemon having names starting with the letters X and Y. Plus you gotta remember that naming things is hard (side note the Pokemon games are actually made by Game Freak Nintendo is just the producer)

I'm wondering if since They're going to release the games in the United State, Japan, Europe, and Australia at the same time if there will be a select your language option

I'm also worried that the fans are going to complain about the way the Pokemon look again like they did with gen 4 and 5. Why must the internet contain so much hate?

Pokemon x and y come out on Saturday. so close yet so far away I wish i could go into the future and steal the game from myself. I'm concerned about this Pokemon Bank thing. It seems like an interesting idea but at the same time it also seems more like a ploy to make money. (call me crazy but I'm skeptical of anything that has a subscription fee It's why I only play free MMOS if I play any at all)

It does look better than black and white but I'm disappointed that they're still using Ash as the main character and haven't aged him even a little in ten years. he even had a birthday during the pokemon mini-movie pikachu and pichu and still somehow went back to being 10 years old. I hope they eventually replace him as a hero.

back on the subject of the games Nintendo released some important info about a major glitch with Pokemon X and Pokemon y. Long story short be careful where you save in Lumoise City. the link below contains the full info on the glitch and a map of where you shouldn't save.

So I have Three Chespin with the ability Bulletproof. I'm willing to trade for a Fenneken with the ability Magician (Or a Froakie with Protein even though it's unlikely since it is in high demand)
